FAMILY STYLE GUIDE


There are MANY ways to style your session, and it all comes down to personal preference. The most important thing is that you feel confident and comfortable. This guide is just a visual to give you some ideas for flattering color combinations.


If you ever need suggestions or advice on coordinating outfit choices, i'm happy to work with you. For full and short session clients, I will also provide access to my client closet.

tips for styling


• Don't include too much of one color

• Aim for at least 4 colors

• Don't be afraid to add a pattern (or 2)

• Try to avoid large prints

• Try to mix dark and light for visual interest

• Consider throwing in 1 pop of color

• Neutrals always present well.

• Include darks and lights.


COLORS YOU MAY WANT TO AVOID


(I find these GENERALLY don't photograph well in a group of 4 or more)

• Pinks

• Purple - unless its a session that includes purple florals

• Soft pastels - unless its a session with florals
